THE TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. WE RAISED OVER $100,000 TO FIGHT PROSTATE CANCER. THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED. MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008.
We invite you to join our efforts to raise funds for The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (http://www.cinj.org) and prostate cancer research by participating in the Fourth Annual Jon Runyan Score For the Cure Golf Tournament, co-sponsored by Deitz & Watson and Pacific American Securities. This event promises to be a fun filled event featuring past and present members of the Philadelphia Eagles as well as other area professional athletes. The proceeds will go directly to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, promising great hope to the thousands of New Jersey men and their families who are living with prostate cancer today.
You can help us in several ways. We are accepting volunteers; and we welcome your participation in the tournament. If you can't play or become a sponsor, perhaps you can tell someone about Score For the Cure who will be able to participate, or donate goods and services (tax deductible) that can be auctioned or given as prizes. With one in six men who have had an experience with this disease, it won't be hard to find someone who will be personally interested.
Remember women are encouraged to play. Gather a group of your friends and associates for a foursome.
Join us for a day of golf, camaraderie, fresh air and service to our community. It has been said, "Service is the rent we pay for being...it is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time." Please take time for this important cause; we promise you a memorable day.
